This is why, with the advice from our long standing friends at THE TACKLEBOX Dartford, we have invested in some of the finest quality specimen tackle available.

The Catfishing rods are the top quality 10ft 6lb test Freespirit Cat Tamers. These rods have stood the test of time, extremely durable and forgiving when used with braid. We now have them built to our own specification, improving on the use of the rod. We equip them with the almost bullet proof Shimano 6500B or the new Shimano 1200D series. The ‘D’ series from Shimano have really taken the iconic 6500 improved and added some bling, a true classic of the future. The reels are loaded with 80lb Dyneema braid from Berkley.

The Carp fishing rods are normally 12ft 3lb test coupled with Shimano baitrunners, also now changing to the 8000D series, as these have the strength to cope with Catfish you will un-doubtingly hook while pursuing Carp.
Rod pods, bite alarms, landing nets, scales, weigh slings, chairs are all available to hire as part of the package.

Terminal tackle is not included but is available locally or we can provide at reasonable cost. If you want to bring it with you the experienced fishermen at ‘The Tackle Box’ can advise and supply all you will need.
